 A female patient Smt. XYZ aged 56 yrs came with the complaint of pain abdomen and heaviness after intake of food. The case was admitted and investigated at RL Jalappa Hospital & Research Centre, Tamaka, Kolar. The case was diagnosed to be huge ovarian cyst with ? malignancy on CT & was referred to Kidwai Hospital, Bangalore. They had been to Kidwai hospital & her waiting list no. was 600.

The patient came to our nursing home for second opinion, accompanied by one of her relative who underwent major gynaec surgery at our nursing home. Patient was diagnosed hypertensive & diabetic. After detailed examination and going through all her reports she was counselled for laprotomy & procedure. On 14.05.2016 the case was operated with a team of doctors - Dr. Manjunath (Oncologic surgeon), Dr.P.Rathnamma (Senior Consultant OBG), Dr. Ashwin (Anesthesiologist). Nature of surgery done: Bilateral Ovarian Cystectomy with Radical Hysteractomy, Omentectomy, Appendicectomy & pelvic lymph node clearance. All the specimens subjected to histopathological & cytological examination.
HPE Report: Ovaries: Sertoli cell tumour-intermediate differentiation, omentum: node positive for malignancy, Appendix & Pelvic lymph Nodes: negative for malignancy.
